Bruno's legacy - caring, stressing safety
Phoenix, Arizona - Phoenix's Alan Brunacini donned his uniform for the last time July 31st. Hawaiin shirts will now be the uniform of the day after 48 years of service to Phoenix, serving as its fire chief since 1978. "Bruno" is the last civil service fire chief for Phoenix. Bob Khan, a department veteran who hung with the Brunacini kids when he was growing up has succeeded the nationally known fire service leader.
